Smile Brisbane city HDR (before&after)

Hello everyone

This is my first post, so I hope i am doing it right
I though i would show you my latest hdr creation, a shot of brisbane from my hotel room i was staying in.
My first step of processing was making it into hdr in photomatix. Then i took it into photoshop and croped it, used curves, adjusted brightness and contrast and finaly used topaz labs software and picked one of the basic's presets.
This shot was taken by Sony a200
Hope you will like it.
thanks

That is a really great post-processing job. I think it looks really cool.

This look like a great piece of artwork. If that is what you want, then great -- but it is so over processed it no longer looks like a photograph. That is not to say it is bad, I just feel it has transitioned from a photo to art.

Default I like it :-)

I think it looks cool; imo the original was lacking in contrast. I just googled the topaz site; it appears there are SEVERAL different software packages (?). Which did you use on your picture?

when creating HDR photos you can go on two different roads. You can go for a more realistic photo, with a good overall exposure of the shot, or you can go for a more creative, extreme , ultra-realistic photo.
It all depends on what you want your picture to be.
I find myself going both ways when processing my images.... some images are just so cool to go ultra-realistic, while others are better left more real.
For a ultra-realistic photo, this processing was pretty good!

I agree that it looks like a work of art, which in my opinion is a good thing. I really love how the sky turned out!
