Default Living Life





I took this pic over the summer at Chicago.. The one on the top is the actual one and the one below is the edited (using picasa) but i am still not able to capture the joy of the moment.. the colors in the original are too rich, high contrast maybe and the edited pic is too dull.. i cant seem to find the perfect balance.. i am not a pro at photoshop but i know basic tweaking.. plz help me find the perfect balance

I'm definitely not a pro at this, but I used your original image and did some selective dodging. Let me know what you think.

can you send me a link to the full res image that you edited? and was it in photoshop that u did the editing?

When I said your original image, I meant the one that you posted, as I didn't have access to any others. I use software from Serif called PhotoPlus X3. It is similar to Photo Shop, and can, in fact. import and edit Photo Shop files, and use plugins developed for Photo Shop. The really nice thing about it is that it is about one tenth the cost.

I think I'd leave the original as is, but just try to drop the orangy out of his skin tones. Nice shot!
