Default Liverpool Docks Apartments Tone Mapping

I took this shot(RAW image) back in April one Sunday down at the Albert Dock in Liverpool. I decided to play around with Photomatix and then tone mapped 2 versions which i then imported into Elements and combined. There is some chromatic aberration around the buildings(think that is what it's called) and not quite sure how to remove this to produce a more fluid shot.

Can you step by step this with the Photomatrix. I really like this.

Steve

Glad you like the shot - the process was a follows:
  • open RAW image in Photomatix and use tone mapping
  • use tone compression tab and adjust sliders for one part of image
  • process file and save as *****image1.jpeg
  • open RAW image again in Photomatix and follow above process but adjust sliders for sky
  • process 2nd image and save as ****image2.jpeg
  • repeat again if required - i only used 2 shots for this shot
  • open both shots in Photoshop(i used Elements) and combine in one image
  • i then selected sky and used background eraser to take out one sky to show through other
  • then adjust shot with levels etc until you are happy

Hope this explains things
