Hi all,
I'm a bit of a photoshop junkie. I am now trying to learn camera skills to reduce my photoshop activity but I though I would share a few things along the way. This was the original shot, drab day with winter tires and an awful background. ![]() 1. Using the pen tool and .2 feathering I traced the car and the shadow. 2. I cleaned up the pacifica that showed through the windows with the clone tool. 3. I cloned the shadow to give the correct light shadow. 4. I found a pic of my favourite wheels (Ford Bullet rims) pen trace, select, paste to layer and sized for perspective and proportion. 5. Found a pic of a corksport lip for the front end and added to the front bumper, adjusting colour and brightness. 6. The Paint job. Added a layer. Purple/Blue and white colours and created clouds. 7. Duplicated this layer setting the first layer on multiply and the second on screen I adjusted their respective transparency to get the right effect. 8. The backgound was created by a custom gradient on the bottom layer. ![]() I realize it was a bit heavy handed, but I wanted to see how far I could go with a rough first image. Oh and I flipped it horizontally, I guess it's a left to right thing, I found this direction more pleasing. I'm open to feedback or giving pointers. Pathfinder
