Default How To Make A Four and Half Year Old Creepy

My daughter was good enough to humour daddy and let him take some "scarey" pictures. ("Scarey pictures, daddy? You're silly! Ok!!!")

Then I used a Photoshop tutorial from a website (http://www.photoshoproadmap.com/Phot...hop-tutorials/) that I saw mentioned in a thread on DPS. Before doing the steps of the tutorial, I used the pen tool to "draw" around her face then turned it into a selection which I inverted then did a black fill to get rid of the blanket around her face. Other than that, I pretty much followed the tutorial to the letter... making adjustments to better suit the image I was working with. I think the end result is just a tad creepy looking.

Very cool. I like it alot.

My wife would kill me if I made my son look like that. However, very cool.....

Fortunately, my wife is very understanding... wouldn't have married me otherwise, I suppose. Nevermind the fact that my daughter thinks it's the greatest thing... to the point where I had to print, frame and hang it above her bed. She thinks it's funny... calls it, "My Scarey Ghost Picture".

I bet that would work for kids with boogey man fears. Hang scary picture of them on the wall to ward of the scary guys in the closet.

LOL I just made sure I showed her the before picture first. Then when she saw what I'd done to it she did the classic, little girl, hands-to-mouth giggle and said, "I look scarey, Daddy. Mommy! Daddy made me scarey! Come see!"

She's my little angel... and now, I guess she's my spirit guide, too!

I love what you've done here, very effective! Looks like it could be the beginning of a movie poster or something!

This is very cool. I think this shot looks a lot better than the one in the tutorial you linked.
