Default Filling the frame

Am happy to say that I got my new gear Nikon D90 last week (Off course I blame DPS for emptying my pocket ).

DSC_0388

used 105mm zoom, was pretty much happy with the result for using bamboo as frame. But when I saw the photo in computer disappointed with lack of catch light in mother's eye.

Tried different crop and happy with the result (extreme crop, so I cant print large )

Mom, why people call us mammals?

But got one more example for "filling the frame".

even though you can't print large, the crop did wonders for the photo! very good job!
