Wink Oh the horror!

I keep finding these centipedes in the house I just moved in to. I was trying to describe why I was alarmed to a friend who lives far away and took this picture to make my point.

As some sort of cruel and unusual form of entertainment I tried to make the picture as creepy as possible.

Basic steps were:
-used clone stamp to remove the yellow plastic in the brick
-created duplicate layer X 2
-1st duplicate, converted to black and white using 'black and white', tinted sepia, and faded black and white to 75%
-2nd duplicate, soft light blending mode, desaturated and increased contrast
-decreased brightness on both of these layers
-created third duplicate of original image, and created a layer mask to isolate the centipede
-enhanced saturation, brightness and contrast, and slightly yellowed the hue
-created new layer and used lighting effects filter to create a spherical shadow, changed blending mode to multiply
-created new layer for text, and used free transform to alter portions of (rasterized) text to make it imperfect, changed blending mode to soft light
-used brushes (similar green colour to text) to create some grungy texture, changed blending mode to multiply

Wow thanks guys!
And fortunately *these* centipedes are generally harmless. I'm told only the bigger ones can bite people, and supposedly it's not a really bad bite when they do. If I was a better person I would be happy to share my home with them, since they eat all manner of other less-nice bugs.

Wow this came out great; I have no comments for improvements which is pretty rare...the cropping is great, and rotating it so that the 'pede is more straight was a smart move. The colours, the lighting, the all-around grungy look...solid job!
