I took a photo recently (before):
![]() I thought, this is a neat pic. So, I poked around in iPhoto. Unfortunately, after super-saturating, the noise was through the roof and iPhoto's noise reduction wanted to make my photo into an impressionist oil painting. So, here comes Bibble (after): ![]() What did I do? - Maxed out the saturation - Brought the black level over to match the beginning of the shadow curve of the histogram - Bumped up the contrast (I think?) - Sent it through the Bibble b&w simulator with uhm, some settings that I don't know anything about because I've never touched classic film and paper. - Applied the default level of Noise Ninja noise reduction You might notice the IQ is kind of iffy when you look at it super mega full size. Well, that's just what happens when you take a JPEG and max out the saturation, then turn it super extra high contrast. I really like the look otherwise, like the branches are icy or wet, and like the sky is some dark maelstrom.
