Default View from Illuminati Headquarters...

Seeing the Angels and Demons movie inspired me to revisit some pics from a recent trip to Rome...and the post on Panoramas inspired me to try out Hugin. This (a panoramic view from the top of Castel St Angelo) is the result.

Before:

After:

Prior to the before image you see above I used five pictures to stitch together this panorama. I then cropped the image in photoshop, and used gaussian blur in the sky to soften the areas that Hugin didn't do a good job on. Then I used curves to enhance the colour. After that I enhanced contrast and created a duplicate layer. On the duplicate I played with curves again but only focussing on the buildings. I then created a layer mask to hide the other parts on this layer. After that, not totally happy with the result, I used variations to warm up the image a bit, faded variations to about 25% and then used the history brush to undo the result in some places.
I'm still not 100% happy with the colour for some reason...but I haven't figured out what's wrong with it.
