Default Through Childrens eyes

Ok here goes my first post...crossing fingers...

I am currently using CS3
Unlocked the background layer
I added a B&W adjustment layer, tweaking the colors until it looked right
Added a blank layer to act as the background layer, filled with white
I made the canvas 16x20 (as that was my desired output to print)
Cropped my image to fit with it slightly be higher than dead center
on a new layer, selected the rectangle marquee tool to make the border then added a drop shadow and a little bevel.
on a new layer set above everything I grabbed the somewhat soft brush and picked a blue I liked, set the blend mode to color I painted in the eyes. Then backed the opacity back to 30%

That's a nice final product!
I have one question though. Is this photo supposed to be about/for someone, or is it just you either experimenting or trying to come up with the best picture you could make?

I think changing eye color is a little too off if you're looking for something that's a direct representation of the baby... If it was just you trying to make the best of the photo at hand, then it's a striking picture.

Thank you, I took this pic at a family reunion. I was just messing around. I made the eyes blue for me and I gave the mother one just B&W.
