Default A Portrait of my Daughter Edited

The Before Shot personally I loved it out of the camera buuuuut..

Portrait Of B

I wanted something more for a wall picture of her

B Aber portrait PP

Method Made two layers firstly then Radial blurred the bottom one slightly..

MAde the layer above just soft light Filtered and opacity reduced to 50%

Next I created a layer for her eyes and just tweaked them by painting in some white then Soft Light Filter and reduced opacity.

Finally I just tweaked the Levels till was happier to me it is still a bit too dark but it does draw the attention more so to her face the the original (IMO the original did anyway just not as much how can it not with taht smile and eyes).

I use Serif Photoplus for my work so it may not be quite as good as Pshop but I think it gets good results none the less.

Comments greatly appreciated and especially on getting the POP factor in more..

Shot was taken near some watrefalls we had visited she hates her pic taken and this was surprise shot she just turned round and BAM this came out ... was simply stunned by it when it came out.

Flickr's having some problems displaying pics at the moment (there are lots of temporarily broken pics around the site right now). I'll have to remember to check the thread again when Flickr's had it's morning coffee

There we go, things look like they're working on Flickr again. I think it's a nice change from the original. She really stands out much better in your edited version.

Aha, very nice work. Love the change in colors. Glad they're being shown now. You didn't do anything wrong, my bad.
