Default Creative city assignment

city 2-1
This is the original photo.
All the work was done in Elements 6.
1. I croped the oringinal photo to cut out a lot of colour distraction, then used the rectangular marquee tool around the word Brisbane, then free transform perspective and dragged the word out untill it was giving the appearance of perspective.
2. Repeated the step for the kilometers.
3. I used the move tool to centre them.
4. I then cloned the spaces where I was left without colour.
5. Then I used the quick selection tool around Brisbane and 479, and then hit select - inverse
6. I went to filter-blur-radial blur and entered amount 80, zoom and hit ok.
7. Back to select-inverse, filter- blur- radial blur, amount 10, that blurred the writing but left it ledgible.
8city-1. Then a little levels adjustment and there you have it.

Looks pretty cool, i like.

Some things I think I would have done a bit differently are:

- Adding a bit of noise before a zoom blur sometimes works quite nicely.
- What is the Brisbane text had a bit of a 3d effect?

Very cool effect. Nicely done.
Noticed the sky in the original shot is really nice. Beautiful fluffy clouds and wonderful shades of blue.

Nice tutorial there shmelly. I like the end result but to be honest i am most taken by both the colour sturation and clouds in the original, had me staring for a good couple of minutes!

Wow, awesome creative job. I often don't like overtly photoshopped pics, but I really, really like this one.

Wow, that's way cool. Both were awesome, but the seconds got the oomph.
