Before...
![]() ...after ![]() This is a picture of my mother-in-law with the cast of the movie "Tulsa" taken at its premier in 1949 at the Orpheum Theatre in Tulsa, Oklahoma (she's the short one in the middle). I primarily used the clone stamp tool and the healing brush. When I gave it to her, she liked everything but how her face looked. So I took another picture of her from the same time period, cut out her face, pasted it into a layer, used free transform to get the angle just right and then a layer mask to paint out the edges. Critique is welcome, but be gentle with me...it's my first post in this forum. www.flickr.com/piewacquet Last edited by Ohkeema; 03-26-2009 at 05:35 AM. |

Really EXCELLENT job. I can't imagine the work it must have taken. I personally am not a fan of replacing heads (or people) so this may be a little biased but I think the replacement looks a little unnatural. Like I said, it's more then likely just me.

I started the photo a year ago, but wasn't happy with my skills at that time. Too green at PS I guess. A couple of weekends ago I decided I'd procrastinated enough and started all over. That time took me about a day to finish it.
I must say the face has bothered me too, but couldn't quite put my finger on what was wrong. Thought it was probably the angle too, so I think I'll tinker with it a bit more. Thanks for your comments guys! |
