Default Blended Images

I have been struggling with blended images and the "how to's" of doing them. ( I love to write "how to" manuals.) I want to share what I have discovered with all of you. See my before and after images then I will get to the "how to's".

Blended Image #2

You can clearly see lines around the different images and the different tones of the backgrounds. I also, lost the shadow of the image seated in front on the floor. She "pops out" as a result. Now take a look at the new improved image.

Blended Image # 3

While this still has it's flaws-due to the photography rather than the technique it is way better. Notice that you can see through the reclined images belly--I did not get the opacity at 100%--and the shadow around the reading image is too dark to get rid of totally--that is an exposure problem not the technique problem.

The "how to's" are contained in the following tutorials ( I have permission to share) from "jumpergirl" on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/abibell/):

Also, "tweeinot" (>www.flickr.com/photos/sarahhallphotography/)
offered me wonder instruction as well.

I am indebted to the helpful people on Flickr and DPS who are so ready and willing to share what they have learned and pass it on,

I would really be interested in seeing what you take away from this and create on your own. Enjoy!
