Default Jump or Motorcycle

I took this shot today, and started to edit it. However later on I realised that the motorcycle deserves it's own display.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

1. Duplicate the base layer in case anything goes wrong and you have to start over. This layer is now called 2nd original.
2. Adjust curves so the image has a slight HDR effect.
3. Use the cloning tool to clone out the body, a tip would be to select the whole area you wish to clone, this way you will not get jagged lines.
4. Duplicate the layer again.
5. Set it to exclusion at 24%
5. Duplicate the 2nd original, delete everything apart from the building.
6. Set it to burn at 18%.
7. Adjust curves again so their is more contrast.
8. Merge layers and de-saturate.

Hopefully you'll understand, I'm not great at explaining things in text! It's not perfect by any means, the cloning is a tad messy in mine. I might go back and hopefully take some other shots if the motorcycle is still there. I tried to lighten the background and keep the motorcycle a stark contrast, however I was unable to. Any tips on how to do that would be great!

Thanks.
Manal

It can be painstaking to manually bump up the contrast in the way I think you are describing; probably easier to see if you can go back and get a different angle that produces the effect naturally.

I think you did an amazing job cloning out the jumper. This is a technique I wish to master as well as you have.
