The Photographer only knows so much, but what they dont know, is what the client likes best.
It's basically up to those two to decide what is best and what they would like to purchase to have for the rest of their lives.

The Photgrapher knowing more about the picture then the rest, can only offer so much of an opinion ot them and the rest is up to them.
The yellow may go well with a wall in their house and may not.

However I like the ending result, it looks really nice.
I find that some of it may be over exposed and its up to them you what is cut off and what is not. When an Lay Person looks at that picture, they wont be thinking of his arm being cut off as much as you or I.
And also, a little bit of warmth may add to it. but it stil looks great

Dayton.

Default Thank you!!

Oh, thank you all for your reply's! All of your input means a lot to me.
Sorry it took me so long to respond, I've been really busy and haven't had a chance to get on here.....

eugenen- Thanks for looking at the others! And, once again, don't worry about it! I needed to hear what you had to say, and yes, I could have explained myself a bit better in my original post...

t blanchard- Thanks for liking the composition. =) Yes, it pretty much was intentional. I do have a copy of the photo with more warmth, that I've given them as well so they have an option.

timeless- Thank you for your reply! I can see what you mean about liking warmer, more yellow tones in a photo. Yes, yes! One of my favorite things about shooting digital is the freedom of being able to do as many poses as I want! We did do some centered ones, but from what I do know of this couple, they seem to like the more edgy, artsy feel, rather then the classic, perfect portrait. So, that's what I leaned towards.

ScrpnMama- Oh, that's good to know. I'll have to look into all of that!
And thank you!

jetskiin4evr- Thank you, thank you. You're too kind... And yes, they were very generous. =)

Dayton-G
- Thank you so very much for your input, and insight.
I think that is one of my favorite things about portrait photography, being able to figure out who your client is, and what will make them happy. Being able to convey their personality through a photograph. When successful, it is so rewarding!
And, yes, It's good to remind myself that they aren't thinking so much about the technical side of it, because that's not what really matters to them. While it is vitally important for the photo to be of good quality technically, being able to capture who a person is is, I think equally important!

Once again, thank you all for your feedback! You're all very kind....

-Aubrey

I think you did a great job with the transformation. That is what you posted it for right? Sometimes people can be so critical.

MyNameIsAubrey — you've done a great job on the color correction here, but they do look a wee bit pale and anemic... a bit more warmth couldn't hurt, I think. I can't help but feel sorry for the guy who got cropped, but the woman in the picture definitely looks like the center of attention here.

Maybe I'm weird but I actually also like the yellow tint in the before picture...almost gave the setting a warm character

I also feel that maybe that particular picture should have been more centered but I liked that whole shoot!

Depends on your camera, but it should be under lighting settings. If you are wondering how to "set" the balance then you will have to shoot a blank white sheet of paper.
