Default Trona Railway

Trona Railway

Let's see... I adjusted for white balance and exposure in Adobe Camera RAW. The rest was done with Photoshop CS3. I thought about cropping it down, but decided against it. I adjusted the contrast curves. Popped the color a bit in lab color mode and lightened up a little more. I then darkened the sky some. Added a touch of the LucisArt Whyeth filter. Some vignetting on the edges using a multiply layer. Lastly, sharpened a bit.

What a great improvement! I am not familiar with that filter, is it a PS3 plug-in?
I wouldn't have cropped either.

It's a plug-in. A fellow photographer gave me a copy. I like some effects, but it's easy to get out of control with it.

This is quite an amazing shot. The depth of field is outstanding. I have recently been looking at digital scheimpflug as a means of getting great depth of field. I would be interested to know what you camera settings were for this shot.
