I like the noise, it gives it a definite film-like quality. However, there is some aliasing (on the right shoulder, the left arm, and the fingers). Not sure if that is a product of adding the noise, or if it is a JPG artifact (in my experience, too much compression in the JPG format can cause that).

@Griffin : Maybe it is jpeg artifact, I mean, I increased the size of the image and then I compressed it.

@smc : Thanks, but honestly, I don't remember exactly what I did to the photo ! An adjustement layer, some blur, some noise....Henestly I just played a bit in photoshop and I just liked the result

you can get that effect by duplicating the layer, adding noise, giving it a soft gaussian blur, and setting the layer mode to overlay or soft light.

This is pretty much what I did, I also cut out the girl from the background, thus when I applied the blur only the background was affected, not the beautiful girl

I like it, particularly the blur on the background only, a very nice touch. It really brings the focus of the photo onto her.
