I love this process, easy to do and and one can be very conservative in ones approach.
![]() Copy your layer Filter/ blur/ Gaussian blur Move the slider till all uneven bits are gone, write down the number. Let say it is 9. Cancel, do not execute Filter/ Other/Highpass… set the radius to 9 Filter/blur/Gaussian blur, set the radius 1/3rd of the radius of the highpass number… in this case 3 Invert Set opacity to 50% and the blend to linear light Layer/ Layer mask/ Hide all Use the white, soft brush, 50% opacity and carefully go over the bits you want to smoothen out.

I really wish I knew how to do this and which program you are using to do it McMum. I took some photographs of my son and he has a nasty red blotch on his forehead just above his nose (he was cooking and hot oil splashed up. Ouch!!) I'm a complete and utter dork when it comes to doing things like this though, LOL
As for those eyes...how lucky is he? My son has blue eyes but not as blue as those. I'm envious! Taraven |

Nice Job. I've used that technique for some compositions when I was learning elements. You've done a nice job with the sliders.
I've overdone the gaussian blur a couple of times and when I printed them it reminded me of a high school year book photo. I recently switched form elements 6 to CS4. I love it. So much to learn. |
