Default Niece Portrait

I thought i would take you through the steps to get from my before to the after.

BEFORE

D90 165

Firstly I did some replace colour, picked the wall colour and made it a more pale colour, closer to the fleece.

Adjusted curves slightly.

I then cloned out some scuff marks on the wall.

Cloned some dirt and chocolate marks from round her mouth!

Sharpened the eyes smart sharpen 76%.

Cropped to a square and increased image size to 20x20

Selected her face and lightened the reds to get rid of some blotching.

AFTER

Ruby 20x20

The processed shot looks great! The only thing I would do is clone out that shadow on the lower back part of her skirt. And maybe the line between the wall and fleece, it might work or maybe not.

my 2cents...

It looks like it has a smidge too much red and yellow, esp in the hair and skin, but it's a great shot.
