Default By any other name...

Took a day trip to Napa last weekend and took this shot of a white rose. On impulse I didn't change the metering from the previous shot (which was the building behind in the sun.)

Before:

After:

Normally I would have fixed this in Photoshop but recently bought Lightroom so used it instead.

Basic:
- Push exposure +.35
- Push fill light +30
- Push blacks +11
- Clarity +26
- Saturation +12

Adjustment Brush #1
- Exposure 2.10
- Auto Mask ON
Painted on the roses
Adjustment Brush #2
- Soften Skin
Painted on the mask to soften the edge.

This is great! I didn't know LR could so so much. Any suggestions to learning LR better?

Adobe has all the basics covered in their tutorial videos. Also lightroomkilllertips.com has several tutorials and presets. Still learning myself and haven't found the definititave resource yet.
