I did this shot for a friend of mine this weekend. She wanted a nice photo of her and her brother's to give to the parents and grandparents for Christmas. I have only been doing photography really since May and this was my first indoor gig. No backdrops, no lights. I just used my Lightsphere and the fireplace at her brother's house. I am please with how it turned out.
Before: ![]() After: ![]() Pretty much all I did was work with the levels and curves adjustment layers to bring out some contrast and darken up the background a bit. I wanted to see some more detail in the washed out bricks. Then I worked with hue & saturation to get the skin tones as correct as possible (luckily I had all of the "models" right next to me to compare to while I was working). Finally I used this tutorial to darken the faces so they didn't look so bright. Also, I cloned out the white space on the wood door to the right. |
