The sky looks pretty unnatural in color to me. In other words not the quality of light you would expect from a sky that color.

There is also some haloing that can be seen. This is more evident when viewing the full size image, but can be seen here as well. This is particularly noticeable along the spire on the left hand side of the photo, but I see it elsewhere in the photo to a lesser extent.

Additionally there are still remnants of the original bright blue sky found in various places where they were not selected (underneath the cross in particular). Unfortunately that is also a tell that it was manipulated.

Maybe not bringing the sky down so much and achieving a more natural look would give it some drama?

Yeah, I see where that is noticeable. I was kind of going for an unnatural look but natural at the same time. Tried my best to eliminate the blue sky everywhere.. As for the halo affect, I used a large feathered brush to air brush in some dark on those two corners drawing the color more to the center.. Ehh it was worth a try... Thanks for the input

Don't give up, go back and try again. Any new ideas from others I will try out to see what new results I can get.

The concept is there. I think maybe you can still work it if you want to put the time into it. It's one of those "you never know until you try" kind of things I think
