Default First shots...

Hi you all,

I got my first DSLR just a few days ago. Before I posted any photo I wanted to read throughly about basics of photo edition, mainly RAW processing. I'll go deeper in photoshop with time.

So the time has come to post something here. The following pictures were taken in Sástago, a small town near Zaragoza (Spain) where I work, yesterday at dawn (first pict) and dusk (second pict). The Before photo is a JPEG version of what I got from the RAW file while the After photo is what I get after the ACR processing (mainly, White Balance, Exposure, Sharpness, Hue, Saturation and so on). I'm not yet done since I think some cropping would be ok, or maybe some filtering in Photoshop...

First Pict Before (Canon EOS 400D; 18-55@21; 6"@f8; ISO 200):
De DSLR

First Pict After:
De DSLR

Second Pict Before(Canon EOS 400D; 18-55@18; 1.3"@f4; ISO 200):
De DSLR

Second Pict After:
De DSLR

I would love to keep on learning so comments and suggestions are most welcome...

Thanks !

Wonderfully manipulated. Not overdone, just the right touch

Default in my opinion

i dont know, but i like the first picture of each each better.

I like the big contrast in the first one the dark makes the sky pop out more or at least draws my attention.

But really dont take it to seriously bencause i'm a noob at photography as a whole.

Thanks for the input. I also like the darkness but I really don't like leak of details (the benches, basically) and this is why I corrected it. Regarding the second picture, yeah, I think I overused the fill-light slider on that one... luckily enough I don't use a film camera

I think both pictures are strong on their own, but are even more so after the PP
