Default Colorful Infra Red

Before :
I took two pics : ordinary color pic and Infra Red pic
From IRColor

From IRColor

For color image : add more saturation using Hue/Saturation adjustment, and use Gaussian Blur .
For IR, I use Hoya R 72 filter, and then some post processes (channel mixer, level & curve adjustment)
Last step, arrange layers : first IR pics on the bottom and then color pic on the top, and blend them with Color mode.

After:
From IRColor

A very interesting approach. I must admit I know nothing about IR, but I really love the result you got with this technique.

I love ir images. That last one is pretty cool, reminds me of something that you'd see in some outer space movie

Id be tempted to blend them together differently.
Convert the IR to a greyscale image, place the colour version in a separate layer and set it to a COLOUR blend mode, then adjust the opacity.

Very nice pictures. I recently purchased a Hoya IR filter. I like how you combined the photos. I will definitly try it with my next photos.

Yes you are right, OsmosisStudios, the IR should be coverted to BW first before blended with the color one. Thanks

Here's another example :
The original IR picture (1)
I use Channel Mixer in Photoshop (2) by swapping Red channel with Blue channel (Red Channel : R:0/G:0/B:100 and Blue Channel : R:100/G:0/B:0)
Then I converted to B/W (3)
and (4) is original color picture

And this is after blending those and put some effects on the sky...

How are you lining up the frames before blending?
