Default Pseudo-depth of field!

I used Gimp(image editor on linux) to tweak this image...What do you think?

What a difference! I like it. It's a pity there were some petals missing from the flower. The before is just a noting picture, the after gives the impression of a light glowing in the dark.

Thanks alot for pointing out d missin petals. It kinda disfigured the outlook. You've done quite a great job in other threads on DPS. Thumbs up............Av a nice day

Don't worry too much about the missing petals. You've done a great job with the editing and that's what's really important here.....before and after. I would be interested in seeing more of your work.

Another way that I have found to do this and make it look pretty good is with the Gaussian Blur.

Create a new layer and blur the entire photo, then erase out (to the in tact layer below it) the object you want to remain in focus.

Works pretty well.
