Heh, bet I scared you!

I really think the edited photo gives the viewer a chance to actually see the bird better. The first one is just too close for my liking. I'm not really sure why I think that because I usually really like close ups on the subject matter. Maybe it is some latent fear of birds surfacing or something... Maybe it is that the bird looks lighter in color in the second. Anyway, I like it.
