Default First real attempt at more than cropping

I know this is probably pretty simple stuff for all of you but I don't have a good editing program so this came in several stages and I used three different programs.

Here is what I started with. It is several years old so I don't know what camera I took it with or what the camera settings were.

First I flipped it in Microsoft Picture It. Then I opened it in Nero and adjusted the balance and cropped it.

Finally I uploaded it to Flickr and used their picnik program to change the exposure a little more and add a border.

Winter Ride

I'm happy with the result.

Nice post processing work. I like that you flipped the shot - it really does make a difference.

Yeah, the flip helped. Mostly because its more natural for us to see things moving from left-to-right.

You should consider downloading The Gimp.

The closest program to Photoshop that I'm aware of, and it's free!
