Default Trying for Dave Hill effect

Don't think I achieved it, but I like the way it turned out.
What do you think?

After: Using Lucis Pro 5

Never tried for a Dave Hill look myself, but it looks like you've achieved it here.

Not bad. A major key to Dave's effect though is in his lighting. He uses A LOT of lights. Look at his work and you see a lot of kicker lighting and he's fond of using a ring light to produce highlights on the skin.

Here's one of my recent takes on the look:

I noticed that on his website. I was just playing around w/ some pix I already had and was happy w/ the overall look. I could have dirty'd it up a little more in Lucis but it gave DS a bit of a 'black eye" LOL.

I really like the example you posted & would be interested in the orig. too

Nice work!! Really looks good and the lighting seems to be coming from around and bhind like his does...dave hill is one of my favorites....and yeah he's a bit over the top when it comes to lights.....
How do you like lucisart pro...was that the new one you have? I missed buying the the old version by 3 days and it jumped up 420 bucks more than the old version.
I figured I'd learn to reproduce it in other ways....

Thanks!!
The version I have is just LucisPro5... not Art Pro. It's a stand alone program instead of the PS plug-in (which wouldn't work for me since I don't have PS ).
Anyway, I found it online for free as a rapidshare .rar file. It's really easy to use.

Good try, Dave Hill is the man! The things he does with light is nothing short of amazing!
