Default Australian War Memorial

Before:

Australian War Memorial Unedited

After:

Australian War Memorial Edited

EXIF data:
Camera:Fujifilm Finepix A340
Shutter Speed: 1/120
ISO: 100
F-Number: 2.8

I cloned out all the people, because i thought it was too distracting, I then used the Polygon Select Tool in PS CS2 and the curves tool to adjust the lighting in various parts of the image. I then got a different picture of the sky and removed the white corner at the top right to fix it too blue . Unfortunately the right wall is too far exposed for me to salvage

I realize some parts of the image are a little... odd... due to my cloning which i might fix, someday - lol

Default Work in progress?

The before picture wasn't bad. I would probably pick a time of the day when the sun didn't create strong contrast. A overcast day might also be a good time to take this shot.

Sometimes I go overboard with my post processing and editing. Cloning out of the people was excellent.

Keep at it you, definitely have skills.

dont forget the reflections of the people in the water.

good effort otherwise.

i'm sure it can be salvaged.. on the layer you did the adjustments to.. i'd erase the super bright portions. or mask it out... that way you'll see the orginal wall, but the rest will be as edited

Maybe to fix the overexposed wall on the right you can copy and flip the wall on the left.

Candleman. Good catch on the reflections in the water. Never would have thought of it until it was blown up and mounted on the wall.

This is a great photo. I love the War Memorial. Tried taking photo's there. Had the same problem with over exposure on the light walls. Good job mate

Nice pic and nice touch up too.

If you have a second go, reshoot the pic to include the main structure in the centre as it appears [in the water reflection] to have an arch that would add some interesting detail and it would also include some sky too.
