Default Interesting second pic

Not sure what effect you are trying to achieve Pasq but the second pic is interesting. I'd darken out the left hand corner where the next plant is beginning to show and also clone out the blue traces in the foreground.

I often use the highpass filter in PSE6 for sharpening. Are you doing something different with it here?
