Default My Late Grandfather

I was emailed this photo this morning by my cuz to see if I could repair it alittle as he's seen some of my work and thought I'd be able to help him.

Before

Scan0002

After

Grancher

I cropped it down a bit and removed alot of the scatches and dirty makes and I used the curve tool to darken it down to get rid of the whitenes.
I feel it needs more work but can for the live of me do any more right now.

looks like you did a great job. Old photos, particularly when they have been scanned in, are really hard to work with. Pity he did not send you the negative to scan as that can sometimes produce better results!

WOW! Well, personally, I think you just did an absolutely wonderful job!! I can't let my mother see this or she'll be wanting me to learn how to do it! LOL! She's been on a kick of collecting old family pictures lately! I think it just looks great!! Good job!

very nice work.. i know what it's like to have old pics of family members that are kinda messy. I tried modding your picture and making it color and less noisy, if you want i'll post it or i can just email it to you, if not i can just scrap it.
