Default Still trying to tone map correctly..

Finally got the latest photomatix, and tried to tone map an HDR shot to something reasonable. This is a shot of a lounge area at Thomas More College in KY. I used 5 shots separated by 2 stops.

Middle Shot (a bit over exposed)

Final tonemapped.

IM thinking its a great job......came out well on my screen!
I think its real warm but that appears to be the lighting and the walls the light is reflecting off of.....one question...are the stools and tables black or dark brown? I might try a tiny bit of levels adjustment but to me you did a good job here....not too much just the right amount to show what you wanted without going over to the artistic side too far.

Looks very good, the only change you might want to try is to lighten up the upper left corner.

The stools are black.

Thanks for the compliments! I'll work on the left upper corner.

Wow great result. I have been thinking about getting photomatrix but Im still unsure about how often I would be using it.

I'd definitely recommend Photomatix - you can get both cartoony and realistic HDR-esque results from it. As for the picture above I'm using a terrible monitor with awful color so I'll hold off judgment 'till another day

I love light effects like these and you have done a good job with the lights and its effects. The scene looks very dramatic... May be a location for a movie?
