Default Rand Barber Shop

Shot this late afternoon yesterday. Sky was scattered cloudy. This was shot with a Nikon D50 with a Tokina 12-24mm lens, ISO 200, f/16, shutter at 1/30... hand-held.

Rand Barber Shop II (Before)

For post processing, I corrected the white balance, adjusted the curves, and increased the color saturation. Then, I converted over to sepia, and added some color back to it for the slightly colored sepia look. Lastly, I adjusted for lens distortion and cropped.

The first one is sharp and nice perspective, but colors were not "wow". The second got better with color while retaining the already good points.

Great change!!

Most Excellent changes that you have made. I really appreciate great photographs.

The deck looks so much better after your adjustments.

I need to learn about employing some of those techniques from within Gimp. I like what you did as far as straightening the lines, but I really liked the original color. So to straighten up the walls, is that the lens distortion you speak of? How was that achieved? Is that a simple technique?

It's really easy with PhotoShop. Under the distortion filter, there's a selection called "lens correction".

HI,

Great Shot!

Can you please help clarify one thing. How did you add color back after converting the shot to sepia.

Thanks
