Default Surf's Up!

My 5 yo son loves the beach...let me know what you think:

surfsupjoeybefore

Surf's Up Joey

The Process:

1) Increased Brightness
2) Added Warming Filter (Masked out water)
3) Added Cooling Filter (Masked out skin)

I like the brighter one, but you lost the detail of the surf.

Hmmmmm.....I have to agree with the PP. You lost all the detail of the surf. What's proper ettiquette on DPS? Can I give it a whirl with some editing on your picture?? And show you what I would do?

I agree about the loss of detail. I think I'd be tempted to do a B&W conversion on it, seeing as there isn't a great deal of colour to pull out. I'd try and bump up the contrast a touch as well.

It's a great shot though, looks like you really caught the joy of the moment.

As for the detail, I agree. Keep up the suggestions!

It's a cute photo but I think I would check my levels and bring them in a bit.

Cool! I wasn't sure if it was in bad taste or not! LOL! I know some people don't like it, so I thought I'd ask.

What about something like this?

edit

I like the original edit. Very high key.
Jody's worked well too.
Two different effects.

I like that version Jody. It just depends what look you're going for is all.
