Default My daughter

I wasn't sure whether to post here or in Critique, but I wanted to show the before and after....so I figured here! So here's goes my very first time posting a picture on DPS! Its of my beautiful daughter! Please tell me what you think. I don't know how to look up the info on what all the settings were, but it was on the 'child mode' on my Nikon D40 (if that helps any.....and I know...tisk,tisk...but I'm still learning to shoot in Manual! LOL).

Ah Ha! I figured it out!
Camera: Nikon D40
Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture: f/5.3
Focal Length: 46 mm
ISO Speed: 400

Oh, I totally forgot to say what I did. Oooh...I probably should have wrote it down. I have PS3....I upped the Exposure (i can't remember exactly, I think +.055), downed the Offset (I think to about -.0333), used selective color and toned down the yellow some, and used the clone tool to copy the black and get rid of some of the fly away hairs at the top of her head. I'm pretty sure that's all I did! LOL! sorry, first time jitters got the best of me. I gotta remember to write down what I do in the future. I'm bad about just playing around with a picture and fidgeting with lots of things.

She is a cutie...

To post your exif, while on the photo page in your flickr, you'll see a "More properties" link towards the bottom on the right hand side. Click on that and it will take you the page that displays your exif. You can then copy and paste from there.

If you don't see it, check under "Your Account" in the "Privacy & Permissions" tab and make certain "Hide your EXIF data" says no.

I think what you did looks very nice, I like the brighter colors.

Hi Jody,
I think it's perfect. It made me think that some of my photos have too much color in the clothing. I like how you lightened the yellow. The subtle changes you made to her face look GREAT!
