This is my first post, so hello to you all - nice to meet you

Here is a before-after of mine using photoshop to bring the image to life a little

here are the steps i followed:

Isolate the foreground, building and sky using a feathered selection tool and create new layers for each.
Add a slight gradient overlay to darken the top edge of the sky
Adjust the hue of the building
slightly saturate the grass
Add vignetting (i might have slightly overdone this stage...)
Flatten image and make final levels adjustments
Sharpen using unsharp mask

I love your edit - it really brings out the texture of the castle.

I agree - it's nice pp work. It doesn't look over-done but natural, and really brings out the colors.
