I found this site through Stumble Upon and I really like your weekly assignments. Just the thing I need for random inspiration! I thought I would introduce myself with a recent photoshop I did (I've just begun learning how to really put photoshop into a picture)
So hear I am, amazed at the way the world can look through a camera: ![]() and here's the original: ![]() Glad to be apart of this community! |

This was taken with my girlfriend's 20D with w 580ex pointed at my face from a low angle to get the bright light in my face and a 430ex behind my for a small hair light.
I cut myself out of the background with the pen tool, then making a selection out of it and adding a layer mask. The background is a simple colored gradient with different filters on it. The planet was mode through an online tutorial: http://www.rnel.net/tutorial/Photoshop/5676 Heres the light ring tutorial: http://www.developertutorials.com/bl...photoshop-119/ Then, a combination of stroking pen tool paths and brushes that I have I added the little details around everything. The small dots swirling around is a small brush with the "scatter" slider modified in the brush options pallet After small adjustments to the lighting on my face and you got a done image! |
