Default My 1st real attempt at PS

Before:

After:

I used the clone stamp and healing brush to get rid of the dark circles under the eyes and I of course cropped it. And then I added a touch more color to the flowers. Let me know how I did.

If you did not tell me about the dark circles - I never would have noticed. So great cloning job. I would brighten their eyes up just a bit.

SusieMet, Welcome

Nicely done, even magnified the eyes look good. If you were to enlarge to poster size, you might notice just a little difference in color in the brunette's cloned area, but just a little.

One other small thing that can make some difference is the catchlights in each subject's eyes. Seated blonde's right eye needs a little more reflected light, and standing brunette, on her left eye. The absence of a catchlight makes the eye appear a little darker.

If brunette had moved a few inches to her right, slightly behind, both subjects would have fit better within the frame. That can be done in PP, but easier in the next shot you take. You did well as it stands, just think on the suggestions for next time.

Thanks for your kind words I am having to take "baby" steps with PS...lol
Anytime I try something as far as removing something or anything like that I screw up
Oh I forgot to mention that the photo was random, I so happened to turn around and got their pic. So it was not pre-posed.
I am a complete and utter noob at editing photos. So any advise is more than welcome.

SusieMet,

Until you put someone's head on the wrong body, I wouldn't think of anything you try as a screw up. Practice is the only thing that makes your skill level go up. Think of us as walking down the road to Total Professional PP Magician Land: we all start at different times, move at different speeds, and have different amounts of time to devote to the journey. Of course we'll be in different areas, having more or less experience.

Think about only comparing what you do today to what you did yesterday. It's really the only thing that means anything. You will get better, at whatever rate you can fit into your lifestyle. We'll be glad to help where we can.
