Default Single File HDR

Since I found a lot of amazing hdr photos through this forum and try to play around using DP-HDR demo (sorry have to remove its watermark doesn't mean that I don't appreciate this wonderful software). Since I don't like taking a lot of shot using bracketing due to so lazy using tripod so I used only one file to make this hdr...

This was taken last year....

original looks better in my opinion... i think overdone HDR often ruins pictures by making them look radioactive or something.

Photomatrix has a setting to allow for handheld re-alignment of three multiple exposures. I still think it would be worthwhile for you to try bracketing with a shot like this, use the Photomatrix trial copy and try it out. I think you'll be even more pleased with the results, which will be more realistic than surreal.

If you get ghosting, try setting light smoothing as high as it'll go, and possibly adding a little saturation.

Hey Candleman,
In image processing, computer graphics and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDRI) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of exposures (the range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows (Wikipedia)

You can see some examples in my site: http://luismr.smugmug.com/gallery/49...96960179_kTVZR

manu4ever, I liked but IMHO it doesn't have the HDR look.

Thanks for all your comments, actually I had photomatix trial version but the result not as good as DPHDR ( perhaps it's only trial) or perhaps it's only one file...

But one thing I learned a lot from here that beside we would like to change the original one to be more high dramatic but still realistic but also you can change the pictures to be more like painting, that's what I am looking/learning for now just like luismr photo on the green building in Florida (you must tell me how to achieve that )

Anyway, thanks for cc

I like the feel of some of your images but one thing really puts me off them - the huge halo around the buildings in a lot of them. It looks unnatural to my eyes.
