I would sure love to be able to use Lucias Art but cant afford it and the trial deal doesnt let you save it.
The background is far to overpowering and bright to go with a somber momnet. Other than that I like the effect. Is that you?
Just a hint, you might you get more responses if you post the actual photos

I like it. FYI, your photos are too big. They can't be bigger than 600 pixels on the longest side.

why don't you do it now, instead of risking deletion/closure?

use something like this:
HTML Code:
<img src="[URL]" style="max-height:500px;max-width:500px;">
you'll of course need to replace [URL] with the URL of your image.

I have the LA mod myself and use it sometimes to bring out the DR (Dynamic range) in my point and shoot.

I find that a slight pinch of the LA mod really helps bring out quality ...but overdoing it just looks horrible. I would say you slightly over-did it, try using the lowest setting at max (exposure) and then play with the slider bar to your liking. I find that yields the most natural results.

Certain scenarios are different of course but this is what works in my experience

While I like your image it just doesn't *pop* with me enough because the shadows are too overdone and I think it would look better with a slightly lower intensity
