Default Vespa " red "

Hi ,

This image was taken at SOHO aka little italy, Manhattan. Using a Nikon D40 with the program mode, i've taken the shot at around 4pm in the evening. I've cropped the original shot cos there is a lot of distraction and too much of clutter. In the second Image I've slightly increased the sharpness , retouched the surroundings and stuff. Please post your comments and feel free to edit . Thanks so much

Spring street

Vespa " red "

thanks

I like this shot. Maybe you could Photoshop out the mat and the cracks in the sidewalk to give a smoother edge to the Vespa.

Yeah , but the thing is I didn't want to disturb the original setting of the subject. Its an old place with cracks on the road and walls, if you can see the color of the red paint which seems a little archaic. And the one next to cracks isn't a mat but the drain cover.

The modified version is a bit too sharp for my tastes, you might want to tone that down a bit.

This is more of an artistic idea, but it might be cool to desaturate the picture and only have the red of the vespa showing.

The cropping has definitely improved the shot, from a nothing shot it has got a good focal point now - the Vespa. You have cloned the rear bumper of the car to the right, that makes it better. Yes, it is a bit too sharp, according to my taste.
Thanks for sharing
