Default Very new to photography, 1st before and after

I just bought a Sony A390 and very recently started getting into photography. I used Picnik as it seemed very easy and I'm just starting out. Thanks for any feedback!

Welcome! Hope to see lots of you and your images.

I would try to get some where closer to the mid point between your before and after. The after has highlight issues and the before has contrast issues. Picnik is a pretty simple image editor maybe you can do a LR3 (light room 3) trial. They have 30 day ones at their website so no money outlay for the start. Just watching the tutorials online will give you an idea of what is possible.
