Nice job. lots of detail where it could have blown out. Nice save. I think you might want to try making the entire background dark (get rid of the white strip). And may be a slight vignette. Just my opinion.

Oops! Sorry I should have put that in the OP.

I opened it in "Camera Raw" oh PSE 8, upped the exposure and brightness.

Then I used the eye dropper tool to select the color from the background. After I got the color I wanted I used a soft round brush at 30% opacity and smoothed out the wrinkles.
I sharpened the photo a bit, then selectively sharpened the baby and took care of some blemishes using the eye dropper and soft round brush technique.

The white bar is a magnetic baseboard I made. I used shop lights for lighting, bounced them off the ceiling.

Now to pour over Lightroom some more....
