Default Water pipe, before and after.

Please tell me if this works, not hte subject, but the edits. I have PSP PhotoX4, yes I upgraded from the free copy of X2 already, LOL. I straightened the pipe, cropped and cloned out the tree in from of the board. I am just starting so I want to make sure I master all areas of photography.

These are things you should have done properly when taking the picture.

Then you need to work on the Photography part more than the editing part first. Mastering Photo shop or any other editing software has nothing to do with mastering Photography. Just saying.

Maybe not, but straightening and cropping is elemental when taking a picture. "straightening" should be a few degrees, not as much as there is here. Same with the crop.

I see you have cleaned up your original, but why is that red circle there in your edited version?

I'm really confused as to what's going on here.

To show where I removed the tree branch.

I agree that the cropping should be done when you take the shot, if it's possible (sometimes you just can't get close enough).

But as far as the cloning goes, it looks alright. I can see the grain pattern repeat itself on the end of the wooden plank. That's a giveaway that it's been shopped. Cloning something out with a distinct pattern like that can be tough. I've scrapped a decent photo or two because of this.

Haha yeah I'm not quite sure what we're looking at, but to answer your question, yeah it works alright. As PhotoRebel said, you can see the evidence of the cloning, so because of that it's not perfect. You can try cloning an area that is not so proximal to the area you need to edit, like, try the middle of the board. And then heal brush the edges to make it all meld...then you won't be able to see the edit at all.

As to some other comments, it's probably an even better idea to practice more basic elements of photography instead of editing But your goal was accomplished moderately well nonetheless
