Default "Spring like"

We've been asked to provide some of our shots for a local town dot.mobi site (Southbury, CT) and I came across this shot of last year done on a typical cold, raw winter day. This building is the new library, but as you can see in the before it was a pretty dreary day. So, I decided to create a new hue/saturation adjustment layer and by playing with the hue sliders I converted the reddish brown winter grass into something more spring like. I took a second pass at the green with a selective color layer to get it to look a little more realistic. I could have created a layer mask to bring back the natural color of the building, but after flattening the layer I took the quick way by using the history brush. It may not be the real spring, but I guess it'll have to do.

Nice looking grass you got there. When I read your post, I was expecting something overcooked, but it looks good. TFS.

very nice job, but the only weird thing is that the trees have no leaves on them. It does allow for better view of the building though.

Very nice - would swear it's a crisp spring day.

The grass turns green long before the trees have leaves on them in the springtime here.

That's so true, but only when the lawns are not covered with two feet of snow in April. So help me, with last winter's heavier than usual snowfall, I thought we'd have snow on the ground until May
