Default Antiquing - my attempt

It's only been 9 days since I got my camera and I am soooo enjoying this digital photography thing! LOL.

Here's my attempt at the "Antiquing Digital Images" tutorial. Although, I did not follow it completely. With the vignette and sharpness, I followed the Lomos tutorial.

This photo was taken today at a track meet that our son and his friends attended. I'm not sure if this was the perfect picture to "antique" because of the modern running shoes. Oh well! LOL! I'm satisfied with it nonetheless.

Yeah, the shoes kind of ruin the effect. lol You did a very good job on antiquing the photo though, so much so the shoes aren't too big of a detraction.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and your graciousness to this newbie! LOL. I will definitely try to antique another photo soon.

Blessings,

I didn't even notice that the shoes were "modern". I think I got more of a gritty feeling than antique feeling from the picture, which probably explains why it still worked.

I think your attempt is great, has an old feel to it. Why are the medals on thier feet?

Heh, heh...Actually, my friend just thought it would be unique and cute to have the medals on their feet. So it was her idea. LOL. We did it for fun.
