Default rapunzel let your hair down - a fairy tale photo

From September 16, 2011

rapunzel lass' dein haar herunter

as you can see i removed the red cap on the left, sharpened the image, darkened it, but most of all used the picnik feature "fancy focus". since the entire shot has a fairy tale feel i decided this treatment made it even more mysterious.

Nice work. What did you do to the hair?

The only thing I'm not crazy about is the weeds in the foreground. I keep looking at then instead of what I am supposed to look at.

I actually love the weeds up front. It seems to me like the handsome prince is spying on the beautiful princess (like in the movies).

I also like the weed in the foreground, not really sure why, but i think it makes the photo as a whole more three dimensional. but the idea with the prince is infinitely better - thanks rebel . and thanks for making the time for commenting Firedawg, much appreciated!

This is a great concept, I like the fact that her hair looks somewhat suspended and she looks as if she's thinking about something or perhaps someone. Nice job on the editing, I like how the face painting stands out too.

thanks a lot zona5101

and tony: thanks for the detailed feed back. you know: i had this idea to have my daughter and her best friend put some temporary tattoos on their faces for quite some time, and last week finally everything came together: the time, the weather, the desire of the girls to make some extra bucks (yes, i only get them to work with me for money). you can see some more shots on my flickr page. everything about this photo however happened accidently.... unplanned and unexpected.
