I think I'd like this better in black and white. Just a thought.

you know you are right that the pic looks plastic and fake, however the printed version does not look that way. I wonder why. they liked the after and picked that one to purchase. I think that with portrait professional you really need tobe careful and not overdo it.... I think it would be good for "Glamour Shots" you just never know, they happened to love the shot... yeah I definitley think the after looks to FAKE...

What counts is that your clients were happy with it.

I agree that the second pic looks plasticky. But I like how it lightened up the photo.

Nice setting for the shot!! I agree that it would look nice as a b&w.

I am happy that they were happy with the picture!!!

Congrats on a successful shoot! As Saralonde said, the client's opinion is the one that matters. FWIW, I really like the two B&W on your photostream from this shoot, particularly the one in profile of her belly. Beautiful light and the B&W worked very well.

Nice positioning of the couple, I do agree the edited version is a little fake looking but I do like that its brighter. Perhaps somewhere in between would be best. The only thing I find a little odd is that the woman is looking up but the man is looking at the camera. Other than that a great photo!

I feel like the eyes and teeth got too white in the second pic - almost like they're glowing. The rest of it looks okay.
