Default Removing bath time distractions

i use lightroom all the time and usually let CS5 sit unused. However, I liked this image of my son too much to just let it be a nice snapshot of my kid. So I bucked up and used the clone tool for the first time to see what I could accomplish with this photo. As you can see I removed the hair washing scoop, the hose and all the tub fixtures. I took this photo using a SB600 on camera aimed to the rear and utilized the white walls as bounce for fill light.

I also removed the (yet to be washed off) food from his face.

Referring to the black eye? He was at the park a few weeks ago and ended up going down a slide and having a stick insert itself into his eye. If you get in close enough you can still see spots on his eye that are messed up. He spent some time at the hospital that night.

Cute lad, and nice photo.

I'd go back a look at the area you removed the green mug from, as there are still hints of green in the area, which you can see at large scale. Notwithstanding this, like the shot and how you removed the disctractions.

Cheers

I do see a color tint there as well but being partially colorblind I am not always so sure how well things like that appear to others. I tried manipulating it more to get rid of it but it never quite looked right afterward. Maybe I will need to go back to the original and try again. Is it a distraction to you or just noticeable on a larger picture?

I guess the key questions is if you had not seen the original would you have noticed or even have thought twice about it?

No, not a distraction, and only really noticeable on the larger print (flickr), so largely depends on whether your going to print it or show it on a large screen. i.e., I tend to show a lot of my pics on the TV via HDMI slot, so usually go for the largest resolution to reduce potential noise.

Cheers
